Project No. 101074108-LIFE21-GIE-PL-INF-ARMY
Upon the completion of the LIFE21-GIE-PL-INF-ARMY project, all results and experiences gained during the pilot activities will be made publicly available. This information will be published on the website created as part of task T 3.1. It will also serve as the basis for widespread dissemination among managers of other protected areas under the Ministry of National Defence.
Informational and educational materials will be primarily aimed at other military institutions managing Natura 2000 areas, as well as institutions engaged in nature protection for scientific and official purposes.
Education and Promotion of Results
The project results, as well as actions related to maintaining their effects, will be discussed during training sessions organized by the Ministry of National Defence (MON) for military personnel. Additionally, the ongoing activities will be promoted at meetings and workshops addressed to soldiers and MON staff.
Development of the IT System
The experience gained in database creation and management will facilitate the implementation of similar initiatives in the future. There are plans to expand the IT system developed within the project to cover the remaining Natura 2000 areas managed by the MON.
Usefulness of the Database
The database created within the project will be made available to all military personnel involved in environmental protection. The database will also be useful in other sectors of the MON, which will be able to use its resources to create specialized environmental expertise.
Valuable Approach to Nature Protection
The planned educational actions aim to raise awareness within the military about the importance of effective management and protection of Natura 2000 areas. The project highlights the unique significance of military protected areas and shows how nature protection actions can be effectively integrated with the management of these areas.
The results of the LIFE21-GIE-PL-INF-ARMY project will be a valuable contribution to improving the management of Natura 2000 areas in the military and will inspire further efforts towards the protection of the natural environment.
