As part of this task, an online IT portal has been created to facilitate the collection, processing, and analysis of data related to Natura 2000 areas located on military grounds. The system aims to ensure quick and easy access to information about these areas, supporting documentation processes, management, and planning of conservation actions.

Functions of the IT System

The system comprises two integrated components:

  1. IT Application – Provides users with access to data, real-time analysis capabilities, and information management.
  2. Database – Stores detailed information about Natura 2000 areas, including ecological and administrative data.

The portal is designed to be intuitive and functional, tailored to the needs of users involved in environmental protection within the military. The implemented solution allows for more efficient management of protected areas and better planning of nature conservation actions.

Task Implementation

The task was divided into two parts and carried out in cooperation with external contractors under signed agreements. This division of work enabled a focus on specific technical aspects, ensuring a high standard for the system.

Benefits of the System:

  • Quick Access to Data – Facilitates decision-making regarding conservation actions.
  • Simplified Documentation – Enables comprehensive collection and archiving of information on Natura 2000 areas.
  • Support for Management – Improves coordination of actions on protected areas.
  • Conservation Planning – Assists in prioritizing and evaluating the effectiveness of conservation measures.

This system serves as a crucial tool for military units managing Natura 2000 areas and highlights the Ministry of National Defence's commitment to nature conservation.
