The summary conference for the LIFE project took place from September 17-19, 2024. Although the project will continue until the end of the year, we were proud to share the results of our work so far. Most of the strategic tasks planned in the project have already been completed, making it a perfect opportunity to summarize the key achievements and outline the next steps for the final stage of its implementation. All participants had the chance to learn about examples of best practices and the challenges encountered during the project’s execution.
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the speakers for their extremely valuable and inspiring presentations. Their expert knowledge and professionalism significantly enriched the conference program and contributed to deepening the discussions. Their dedication enabled participants to gain a better understanding of the actions being implemented and the challenges facing nature conservation within the context of the LIFE project.
During the conference, we also had the unique opportunity to discover the natural beauty of the Ojcowski National Park, which is located in close proximity to the event venue. Participants were able to take part in guided tours of the park, where they explored its unique landscapes and valuable natural resources.
During a field visit to the Natura 2000 area of Błędowska Desert, which is part of the project’s focus, participants had a rare chance to observe the training process of soldiers from the 6th Airborne Brigade. This area, used both for military exercises and nature conservation, serves as an excellent example of the coexistence between military objectives and environmental protection.
We would also like to extend our gratitude to all conference participants. Your presence and active involvement in the discussion panels and field workshops were invaluable. The exchange of experiences was a key element of this event and contributed to its success.
The conference strengthened collaboration between various stakeholders, including representatives from government institutions, scientists, and environmental protection experts.
Once again, we thank everyone for their participation and cooperation during this important event. We hope that the knowledge gained and the connections made will serve as a valuable source of inspiration in your continued efforts toward environmental protection.
