As part of the LIFE project, a guide has been developed and published, providing a comprehensive compendium of knowledge on nature conservation in military areas. The publication focuses on ecological data collected from 10 Natura 2000 sites covered by the project and on management procedures for these areas, particularly in the context of data collection and sharing.

The guide includes:

  • Descriptions of the ecological value and unique features of 10 Natura 2000 sites located in military areas.
  • Management procedures for Natura 2000 areas developed within the project, including rules for collecting, storing, and sharing ecological data.
  • Practical guidelines for integrating conservation efforts with the use of military areas.
  • Examples of best practices that can be implemented by both military and civilian institutions involved in environmental protection.
