Our visit at ASzWoj

"Environmental safety" course at ASzWoj

On 4 April 2023, a course entitled 'Environmental Safety' was held at the Academy of Military Art in Rembertów (Akademia Sztuki Wojennej – ASzWoj).

At the invitation of the organisers, the presentation entitled "Supporting military land users in the management of Natura 2000 sites" was given by INF ARMY project manager Katarzyna Kępa.

The aim of the speech was both to present the LIFE21-GIE-PL-INF-ARMY project, its main assumptions and objectives, to present the concept of creating a database bringing together in one place information on Natura 2000 sites in military areas, and discuss the whole range of possibilities for obtaining EU funding for environmental measures.

An important element of the presentation was also to raise awareness among participants of the impact of official decisions on the state of nature, and in particular Natura 2000 sites in military areas, and to promote ecological attitudes and encourage environmental protection activities in the military.

The training was also a good opportunity to promote the project. Each participant received materials and gadgets bearing the logos of: INF ARMY, the European flag (emblem), Natura 2000, National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFOŚiGW) and the Ministry of National Defence.

Dissemination of knowledge about the project is recognised by the European Commission as a very important aspect of sound project implementation.

It was a very fruitful meeting.

Thank you again for the invitation.
