Nature Workshop - Kampinos Forest

Nature Workshop - Kampinos Forest

On May 18, 2023, the second nature workshop took place within the Natura 2000 site PLC140001: Kampinos Forest, as part of a series of 10 field meetings under the theme "Supporting and Managing Natura 2000 Areas on Military Grounds" as part of task T.2.1 of the project 101074108 - LIFE21-GIE-PL-INF-ARMY.

The workshop was held in the Kampinos Forest and the Grocholskie Piachy Landscape Protection Area, and was attended by staff from the Regional Military Training Center as well as a large group of representatives from the Kampinos National Park.

The workshop was conducted by a highly knowledgeable speaker, a botanist from the Nature Science and Monitoring Team of the Kampinos National Park, who specializes in organizing the protection, research, and monitoring of the plant cover, including Natura 2000 protected objects in these areas.

An important aspect for the workshop participants was the issue of the impact of the Grocholskie Piachy training ground within the national park. The planned route, combined with numerous professional descriptions provided by the trainer, allowed the workshop participants to familiarize themselves with the natural value of the area.

The nature workshop also provided a great opportunity to promote the INF ARMY project. In addition to participation certificates, all attendees received promotional items featuring the project's logos.
