Nature workshop - Lake Wicko and Modelskie Dunes

On June 27, 2023, the next nature workshop was held as part of the INF ARMY project. The meeting place was the Central Air Force Training Area in Wicko Morskie. The area includes the Natura 2000 site PLH320068 Lake Wicko and Modelskie Dunes. The workshop participants included both military personnel and representatives of civilian institutions (including the RDOŚ, the Słowiński National Park, the Ustka Forest District, the Coastal Protection Inspectorate of the Maritime Office in Szczecin, the City Hall of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, the University of Szczecin and the Pomeranian University in Słupsk).

The field sessions were led by representatives of the Pomeranian Landscape Park.

We are very pleased that such a large group of people from different backgrounds got to know the problems of nature and environmental protection in the areas of the Central Training Area. It is very important and necessary that cooperation between military and civilian units runs smoothly and brings tangible benefits for the good of nature.
