The INF ARMY team during the opening of the projects

Opening of the LIFE21 projects

On 19 October 2022, the official opening of the LIFE21 projects that received EU funding as a result of the 2021 call took place, accompanied by a short presentation of each project.

The online meeting was hosted by representatives of the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive (CINEA): Manuela Osmi, Maja Mikosińska and the European Commission (DG ENV): Luisa Samarelli and Frank Vassen.

The special guest closing the first part of the meeting was Angelo Salsi.

The Director of the Infrastructure Department, Dr Marcin Mazuryk, spoke on behalf of INF ARMY, representing the main beneficiary of the project.

Dr Mazuryk presented the project, discussed its main assumptions and objectives, and above all confirmed the great motivation and determination of the entire team in the efforts to protect nature in military areas in Poland. He stressed that for the Polish Army, the LIFE21-GIE-PL-INF-ARMY project "Supporting military land users in the management of Natura 2000 areas" is an important initiative to use modern technologies and innovative solutions to better protect the natural resources of military areas.

The LIFE21 Welcome Meeting was also a great opportunity to learn more about other European projects. We look forward to being part of the LIFE21 family and working together to achieve our goals.
